User protected categories can only be accessed by the specific user (or users) that you give access to. Customers must have a WordPress user account in order to login.
We have created a test customer account for Jane Doe, with her own private category containing products that only she can access.
Login to Jane’s account below:

Tip: we added the login form using Clean Login and the login redirect using LoginWP.
